Mentor Blaze (Mackay) September 10, 2015 Wrap Up

Mentor Blaze (Mackay) September 10, 2015 Wrap Up

With 19 Attendees, and 10 Mentors, we were nearly at full capacity for the Mackay Mentor Blaze event at Central Queensland University last Thursday afternoon.

The 2 hour event was held simultaneously between Mackay, Brisbane, Cairns, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba. We had 2 Skype pods setup in Mackay for Mentors & Mentees to chat with entrepreneurs and mentors from Brisbane & Cairns during the event.

The Mentees were able to choose a minimum of 3 different Mentors with 19 minutes of talking time for each and were instructed to discuss the following topics to help them with their business ideas:

  • Introduce yourself in 15 secs.
  • Be able to deliver the essence of your idea within the first 2-3 minutes.
    • State the market area you are interested in
    • State the actual problem / pain point that your idea addresses
    • State the potential solution in broad terms.
    • Your background and skills / knowledge you are bringing
  • State the major area of advice you are looking for so the mentor can focus their response.

A big thanks to goes out to our sponsors:
