
National Science Week, 13-21 August, has a huge program of exciting activities. The Queen Street Mall fitness challenge is an attempt at the Guinness World Record for the largest practical science lesson. In Mackay, 16 schools lodged teams in the Aurecon Bridge Building Competition. The 2016 schools theme is Drones, Droids and Robots.
Some of the competitions being held around the country include Robogals Science Challenge, UNSW Bragg Student Prize for Science Writing, a Crystal Growing Competition, Win an Ozobot 2.0.
To enter the Ozobot competition, entrants are asked: “What question would you ask a talking robot if you had the chance?”
